Metal Gear Survive was first revealed at Gamescom in 2016. It’s an open-world survival action title set between the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
Konami previously confirmed that Metal Gear Survive would not retail at $60.
Metal Gear Survive is the first title in the series to be developed after Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima left Konami in 2015.
Kojima, whose last contribution to the series was the critically acclaimed The Phantom Pain, has founded his own independent gaming studio, Kojima Productions, and is developing the upcoming Death Stranding in collaboration with Sony.
