SNES Mini Sells Through Two Million Units in a Month

During today’s financial briefing, Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima revealed that the much sought-after Super Nintendo Classic Mini has sold more than two million units since its release late last month — September 29 in North America and Europe, October 5 in Japan. At the very least it’s good to know that Nintendo did at least make quantities of the microconsole in the millions, despite the inevitably quick selling-out of the system both at retail and online the world over.

The company had stated that they intend to make additional shipments of both the SNES Mini and NES Mini during 2018. If you’re lucky enough to find one in the near future, we guarantee that the SNES Mini is a must-own system and well worth the investment (providing you’re not being charged three figures) beyond even its strong line-up of first and third-party titles.
