Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released the Xbox One X update for Monolith Productions’ Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.
Xbox One X launched today, and updates for previously released Xbox One games are starting to appear. One of those games is Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, which originally launched in October on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Now, newly minted Xbox One X owners can enjoy the game with a host of new enhancements.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War offers Xbox One X owners two enhanced ways to experience the game. The first option focuses on delivering a native 4K resolution with some increased texture detail. The second focuses on quality with increased draw distances, improved shadow and lighting conditions, increased vegetation, improved ambient occlusion, higher polygon counts and texture filtering improvements. For those still stuck on 1080p TVs, the game does feature supersampling when using an Xbox One X.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game has also been enhanced for PS4 Pro.
