According to a report by ESPN, Team SoloMid has hired former Immortals coach Kim “SSONG” Sang-soo to lead their League of Legends team.
After a disappointing performance at Worlds, former TSM head coach Parth “Parth” Naidu stepped down from his position as the team’s head coach. Later, it would be revealed that IMT would not receive a spot in the newly franchised LCS and all their players/coaches would be free to join other organizations.
In the most recent split, SSONG led IMT to it’s most successful results. While in the past the team had managed to go undefeated in the regular season, they would fail to perform in the playoffs. With SSONG and Xmithie coming in the team finally made it over that hump and qualified for Worlds 2017 as the second seed for the NA LCS.
