Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack hit the 3DS a couple of years ago in both digital and physical formats on the same day. Switch users have been able to play this collection of the first two Azure Striker Gunvolt games since August – but only via the eShop. However, after a two month wait, the collection has now hit retail shelves and it brings with it a slew of improvements from the 3DS originals. The framerate has been doubled from 30 FPS to 60 FPS – ensuring faster action. All of the DLC is built into the game, and the cutscene art has been redrawn into higher-resolution images to better showcase the artwork. This collection is the latest work of Inti Creates, who has become one of the Switch’s most beloveed and rewnowned develoeprs while Nighthawk Interactive handles the physical publishing duties. We loved the first and second games on the 3DS – and the Switch version is the definitive version of each, toppling even the PC version of the first game thanks to all of its improvements.
