DistrictWare has announced that its new open-world FPS title, Hold Your Own: Survival Crafting Game, will be coming to Steam.
The Montreal-based independent studio, which previously developed the free-to-play MMO title Alliance Warfare, is set to release Hold Your Own on December 1 for Steam Early Access.
Hold Your Own has players trying to survive on an island. While fighting against humans and animals on the island, players are required to build bases, craft items, hunt for food and explore and complete different quests.
The Early Access release of Hold Your Own will only feature a single-player mode, DistrictWare confirmed, though the developer says it is “committed to implementing multiplayer as the project keeps evolving, supported by player feedback.”
“We wanted to make a survival game that’s not about feeling like you are on the verge of dying while fighting off and defending your base,” says Districtware developer Mark Sorella.
