Black Friday has officially kicked off the holiday season, and things are looking real good for GameStop.
With Thanksgiving gone and Black Friday kicking off, it is officially the holiday season. With some fantastic deals going on, retailers are competing for people’s dollars and space under the Christmas. One of those companies is GameStop, and it looks like things are going well. While we don’t have any solid numbers yet, the company has revealed that things are looking real good right now.
“Our holiday season is off to a great start!” said Tony Bartel, GameStop’s chief operating officer. “We’re excited about the strong growth we’ve seen so far by opening our stores on Thanksgiving and offering incredible Black Friday deals. Our stores have seen strong traffic from customers looking to purchase the latest innovations in gaming, toys and consumer technology products that are in high demand and are sure to be in short supply this holiday season.”
As we reported yesterday, GameStop has all kinds of deals going on right now across all platforms. However, here are the best-selling ones available in-store:
- Sony PlayStation 4 – $100 off, plus a $50 GameStop gift card
- GameStop exclusive Black Friday Collectible Bag – Purchase the bag for $1.99 and fill it with as many collectibles/pop vinyl items as possible and get 25% off every collectible/pop vinyl item in the bag
- Video Games – NBA 2K18; Call of Duty: World War II; Madden 18; FIFA 18
- Funko Mystery Box
The Black Friday deals didn’t stop at retail stores. Customers could find the same deals by shopping online, which was where they seemed to want to pick up consoles. The PS4 Pro, Switch, and Xbox One S found success online:
- PlayStation 4 Pro 1TB
- NBA 2K18 and Madden NFL 18
- Nintendo Switch
- Xbox One S 500GB
Black Friday is just the beginning for GameStop this holiday season. The company will begin rolling out deals for Cyber Monday real soon, and will likely have more throughout the season. Be sure to check back to see everything GameStop has in store for the month of December,
