Rebellion have already dished out some more contemporary offerings from the Battlezone IP, notably with Battlezone VR — the first fully VR entry in the tank-based, first-person combat series — as well as a remaster of the very first 80’s game and it looks like the UK-based developer/publisher aren’t finished in bringing back what’s nearly a four decade-old series with the announcement today that it’s planning to remaster its follow-up, Battlezone 2, in the form of Battlezone: Combat Commander.
Details are still relatively thin but Rebellion have confirmed that the game will feature both mod support and cross-play for those playing on either Steam or GOG. You can see how the game is fairing at present in a brief teaser trailer below. Battlezone: Combat Commander will be available on PC sometime in 2018.
