Rogue Legacy is one of the best roguelikes of the past several years and developer Cellar Door Games has been hard at work on their follow-up. That successor is now just around the corner, as Cellar Door today announced that Full Metal Furies will be released on January 17 for Xbox One and PC. While this release date falls short of the original 2017 timeframe — it just narrowly slips out of it — and it seems as if the developers have put any extra time to good use.
Influenced by ’80s brawlers like Double Dragon and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the idea of Full Metal Furies is to retain everything that made those games so fun while fixing everything they thought was a problem.
