Continuing with this month’s reveals of new titles from Raw Fury Games, their latest addition is one that poses an interesting question: What happens when you combine indie darlings Stardew Valley and Nuclear Throne? As it turns out, the answer to that is Atomicrops, a new roguelike action/simulator hybrid from developers Toby Dixon and Danny Wynne, which looks to hopefully be a rather enjoyable blast of insanity.
Taking place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, you’ll be growing and harvesting mutated crops while defending them from various enemies, gaining assistance from townsfolk to marry, creatures to tame, and upgrades to your house to make. Unfortunately, things are still particularly early for this one, as Atomicrops isn’t due out until 2019 and the only screenshots of gameplay are GIFs on the game’s official site of the prototype from before Dixon joined on (whose pixel art you may remember from Nidhogg 2 earlier this year). Still, it sounds quite promising, so we’ll keep our eye on it as it goes through development.
