The coop focused Kirby game for the Nintendo Switch finally has a release date. Announced at E3 simply as Kirby, and eventually getting a proper title later last year, Kirby: Star Allies is shaping up to be a unique adventure for our pink balloon-shaped friend.
During Nintendo’s mini Direct today, the Japanese-based company not only showed off a brand new trailer, debuting new and familiar abilities, but also announced the official release date for March. With Bayonetta 1+2 remaster coming out a month prior, the first quarter of 2017 is shaping up pretty well for Nintendo.
As we mentioned, the biggest attraction to Kirby: Star Allies is the ability to play cooperatively. Up to four players are able team up and fight through levels with the various abilities you normally expect in a Kirby title. If you don’t want to play with friends, allies can be replaced with your standard CPU allies.
Kirby: Star Allies will be available March 16 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
