It’s been nearly half a year since the release of Splatoon 2 and while Inklings are having their fun, plenty of changes still need to be made. The 2.2.0 update is set to take place soon and with it comes a huge amount of fixes. We won’t be able to list them all but here’s just a little bit of info.
Snapper Canal, Walleye Warehouse and other stages get various changes to terrain, ink coverage and more. Almost all weapons are getting either nerfs, buffs or both. This includes speed of firing, area covered and damage per hit. Some bombs will be able to cover a wider radius or last longer when used. Some specials such as Splashdown and Bubble Blower will have different issues fixed. Salmon Run and Clam Blitz modes are also getting some issues looked at.
Nintendo has already posted the full details on the official website for players to check out. The update is expected to go live around 5:00PM PST on January 16. It could take several minutes for the download to complete.
