Ubisoft today announced that Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction is now playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.
Splinter Cell Conviction was one of the best Xbox 360 exclusives available for the platform. Released in 2010 as a console exclusive, the fifth game in the Splinter Cell franchise shook up the traditional formula. You played as Sam Fisher, now a renegade from the law, racing against time to thwart a terrorist plot that could leave millions dead. With revamped gameplay, Conviction was a real treat for fans. Now, players can experience that again on Xbox One.
Conviction officially joins the Xbox One backwards compatibility program today. Owners of a physical copy can pop the game into their Xbox One system and begin playing. For those who don’t, the game is now available for purchased on Xbox Live. To celebrate the re-release of the game, Splinter Cell Conviction will be 50% off until February 12.
