If there was any doubt in anyone’s minds about the prominence — or perhaps the heightened intrigue — of Team Ico’s beloved and universally-acclaimed Shadow of the Colossus, now having undergone its own PS4 remake with Bluepoint Games’ recently-released PS4 iteration, least in the UK, the game has performed rather well according to GfK Chart-Track. Not only did it manage to claim top spot in the UK chart, but its first week sales are significantly higher than its predecessor — 73% higher to be exact. This figure is purely for physical retail copies so add on to that the inevitable number of digital copies sold in the UK alone and that figure climbs a little higher.
Further down the charts, EA Sports UFC 3 holds onto second place while Monster Hunter: World slips slightly into third place. Both FIFA 18 and the ever-present GTA V round off the top five with Call of Duty: WW2 falling out of the top five entirely into number six position.
