The world’s largest LAN party will be descending upon Dallas in the latter portion of summer this year. Running from Thursday, August 9 to Sunday, August 12 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, QuakeCon 2018 will be offering the same BYOC (Bring-Your-Own-Computer) LAN party fun it always has. The now 23 year old convention will also be introducing a few changes this year to shake things up. Event organizers have announced that the convention will be offering three days of exhibits as well as reintroducing panels, presentations, workshops and other non-BYOC activities. Attendees may also have the opportunity to be the first to get a look at Bethesda Softwork’s upcoming titles.
In addition to this, The BYOC portion of the event will also be doubling in size from what was offered in 2017, and those wishing to attend should be aware that the convention is completely free and open to the public. Those wishing to reserve a room at the event venue, the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, can get a special room rate of $185 per night if they reference QuakeCon 2018.
