A pic had released of NBA star James Harden with an all too familiar logo on it. Today, Activision has confirmed that the next Call of Duty will indeed be Black Ops 4. It will be released on Friday, October 12 which comes nearly a month quicker than the traditional release. Treyarch is developing this one as the game steps away from the World War 2 setting. A special event will be hosted on May 17 where it will be revealed publicly. Activision traditionally rotates developers on a three year schedule, and the continuity from the World War 2 setting may be another two years away. Meanwhile, EA and DICE are rolling with that setting with Battlefield V. Call of Duty Blacks Ops 4 will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, as no Nintendo Switch version will be coming. Call of Duty World War 2 did well in sales, so going back to this format has to do with the yearly development cycle of the game.
