Shamrock & Awe Returns to Call of Duty: WWII

Last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered St. Patrick’s Day themed returns for Call of Duty: WWII.

Grab your rifles and prepare to go Leprechaun hunting! St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and Call of Duty: WWII players get to celebrate with Shamrock & Awe. Kicking off now and ending on April 3, WWII players will be able to play on a new map, enjoy a limited-time multiplayer playlist, and earn new weapons and gear.

The classic map shipment is being remade for Call of Duty: WWII. Shipment 1944 arrives today for Season Pass holders, and becomes available for everyone on Friday, March 16. It is not known at this time if players will get to keep the map past the end of Shamrock & Awe.

Those in the mood for some festive fun can hop in the Leprechaun Hunt Moshpit for games of Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Domination. The twist is that a a fleet-footed zombie leprechaun is hiding on every map. The person that finds and kills him will find all their scorestreaks ready to be deployed.

With every new event comes new gear to collect, and Shamrock & Awe is no different. There’s plenty of new uniforms, helmets, and weapon camos to collect during the event. Thanks to a huge update to the Supply Drop system, players shouldn’t get as many duplicates as they were before.

Shamrock & Awe also brings two brand new weapons to Call of Duty: WWII, the M-38 Submachine Gun and the MG 81 Light Machine Gun. Like previous events, players can obtain them through various methods. Players will be able to obtain them, and their non-Shamrock & Awe variants, even if they miss the event.

Be sure to log in starting today to participate in Shamrock & Awe.
