Bungie today revealed details for Destiny 2’s second DLC expansion, Warmind.
After nearly five months, Destiny 2 players are set to receive a major dump of content in the form of Warmind, the second DLC expansion. Today, Bungie pulled back the curtain on what players can expect when they boot up the game on May 8. With a new story, playable area, endgame activity, and Raid Lair, Bungie hopes that Warmind can get Destiny 2 back on track.
Warmind unites you with Ana Bray, a Guardian thought lost and searching for a connection to her past on Mars. As satellites plummet to the ground and melt the ice caps of Mars, the Warmind Rasputin is revealed. However, the melting of the ice also unleashes an ancient Hive army bent on destroying Rasputin. Players will head to the Hellas Basin to traverse the glaciers and caverns to push back the Hive.
In addition to the new story, a variety of new content is coming with Warmind. Spire of Stars is the final Raid Lair for Leviathan and offers up some of the best rewards in the game. Escalation Protocol is a new endgame activity where players fight off escalating waves of enemies solo or with allies. As with all Destiny DLC, Warmind comes with a considerable amount of new weapons, armor, and gear to earn. As per the timed-exclusivity Activision struck with Sony, PS4 players will get an additional Strike and gear that will remain exclusive through Fall 2018.
Destiny 2: Expansion II – Warmind is out May 8 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for $19.99.
