Destiny 2’s Major Expansion to Debut at E3, Mystery Mode Teased

Activision Blizzard confirmed that Destiny 2’s major expansion will be announced at E3 2018 alongside a brand new game mode.

Destiny 2’s second DLC expansion, Warmind, hits next week, but most players are looking at this fall’s big expansion to deliver changes the game sorely needs. Much like The Taken King, this expansion is expected to significantly correct many of Destiny 2’s failings and, hopefully, help get the franchise back on track. Well, we won’t have to wait that much longer to find out what the expansion will be.

Durng Activision Blizzard’s first quarter earnings call, the company confirmed that the expansion will be announced at E3 2018. Bungie also plans on debuting a brand new game mode that, according to COO Coddy Johnson, brings a whole new style of play to the first-person shooter genre. As such, it likely won’t be a battle royale mode. We’ll just have to wait till E3 to learn more. In the meantime, Destiny 2 players hungry for more content can hop into Warmind on May 8.

Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
