Over The Moon’s acclaimed sci-fi adventure The Fall will be making its way onto Nintendo Switch next week, the developer has announced. While this year’s follow-up, Part 2: Unbound, released this February across all major platforms — Switch included — for solely Nintendo players, it was the Wii U where the original title made an appearance.
The Fall, originally releasing in 2014, managed to combine a slew of genres from action-adventure to point-and-click and even a bit of Metroidvania exploration for good measure; telling the story of ARID (the Armoured Robotics Interface Device) whom finds itself in control of the high-tech combat suit with which its human pilot has been rendered unconscious. Over The Moon have also confirmed the game’s target performance for the Switch with the game targeting 1080p/60FPS while docked with that going down to 720p at the same frame-rate while in Handheld mode. If you haven’t yet experienced the game, or indeed its sequel, you can see a taster of the game’s dark, sci-fi atmosphere in the below trailer. The Fall will release for Switch on May 10.
