Motion Twin’s side-scrolling roguelike metroidvania game Dead Cells has been one of the hottest games in Early Access this past year, and now the release window for the full version has finally been announced: August 2018. Not only will version 1.0 be released then, but the developers will be teaming up with Merge Games in order to provide retail copies for the PS4 and Switch. After selling over 700,000 copies in this early period alone, to say that this represents a big step for the game would be an understatement.
And with this latest milestone comes a new update for the game as well, the Baguette Update. With it, the Forge Mechanic has been reworked, new items have been added, and Legendary Drops have been introduced, alongside general fixes and tweaks. You can check out the full details in the patch notes on the official site, and pick up the game now if you want to give it all a test. Dead Cells officially hits this August, so stay tuned for any future info on the full release.
