Long rumored for a few months now that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will feature a battle royale mode has now been confirmed. During today’s Community Reveal Event Livestream, Treyarch culminated the show with the official announcement of its battle royale mode, and also a name. Known as Blackout, the mode will blend the best of Call of Duty’s past into one mode. Treyarch is taking ten years worth of locations and characters and dropping them into a giant map. This will include playable characters from past campaigns including characters featured in the Call of Duty: Zombies modes. The giant map, which was stated as being 1500 times the size of Nuketown, will be composed of famous maps from previous titles. This includes land, air and sea. There was no gameplay for the mode shown and no official statement on player count, but that should all come at E3 in less than a month. Check out the trailer below for Blackout.
