Ubisoft’s popular competitive shooter will finally get Xbox One X and PS4 Pro support.
Rainbow Six Siege is one of Ubisoft’s biggest success stories this-generation. At launch, the game was a complete disaster with pestering lag, questionable balancing, and a lack of content. Many expected the publisher to abandon the shooter, but Ubisoft toughed it out by vastly overhauling the servers, adding in tons of new content, and going above and beyond to win players back. Today, Siege is one of the most popular shooters on the market. However, the game has yet to receive any support for Sony and Microsoft’s enhanced machines. That is about to change.
Operation Para Bellum will finally add Xbox One X and PS4 Pro support to Rainbow Six Siege. Xbox One X owners can experience the game at 1728p, while PS4 Pro owners get 1440p all while the game maintains its original 50% render scaling. The team is currently working on a dynamic solution for render scaling that keeps the 60fps threshold.
Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Operation Para Bellum is expected to launch June 5.
