DICE is taking the Battlefield franchise back to where it all started sixteen years ago.
Battlefield V is fifth main entry in the franchise, and brings the franchise full circle back to World War II. DICE confirmed that the long-rumored setting is indeed what players will experience when they pick up Battlefield V later this year.
Speaking during the Battlefield V event, DICE revealed that they are hoping to deliver a World War II experience that players have never seen. The game will take players to previously unseen locations, including Scandinavia, Northern Africa, and Rotterdam among other locations. War Stories, which were first introduced in Battlefield 1, will return in Battlefield V. Additionally, co-op will return.
Battlefield V is out later this year on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will be playable at E3 2018.
