Star Wars Battlefront II Celebrates Solo: A Star Wars Story with new Content

DICE today revealed new content for Star Wars Battlefront II based on the recently released film, Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Star Wars Battlefront II Season 2 continues June 12 with a new batch of content from Solo: A Star Wars Story. The Han Solo origin film may not be setting the box office on fire, but it sure is ready to engage players with some great new content, including a new map, the return of an old game mode, and some new skins.

First up is the new map, the Coaxium Mines of Kessel. The mining planet plays a key part in the legend of Han Solo, and players finally get their chance to run through the infamous halls. The map plays host to small game modes, such as┬áBlast, the tactical Hero Showdown, Heroes vs Villains, and Extraction mode, which makes its return from the first game’s Outer Rim DLC.

A new hero ship arrives in splendid fashion. Players can pilot Lando’s Millennium Falcon as seen in the film. Team up with L3-37 as you battle your way through TIE fighters and Vulture droids. Practice with the ship in Starfighter Arcade before hopping online for a few matches of Starfighter Assault.

Finally, players can earn or purchase numerous new skins based on Solo. This includes a young Han, Chewbacca, and Lando. These come in addition to the new Leia and Lando skins that hit Star Wars Battlefront II last month.

Star Wars Battlefront II is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Solo: A Star Wars Story content hits the game on June 12.
