Hitman 2 Announced for November, No Longer Episodic

IO Interactive took a huge risk releasing their reboot of Hitman over the course of 2016. It started out rough but it ended up being one of the best Hitman games in the long running franchise. Well it looks like IO Interactive will be following it up, but not with the same episodic formula.

The Danish studio has not only revealed the sequel to Hitman, but the fact it will be a finished packaged product when it ships later this year. It will introduce various new missions to our favorite bald assassin as he takes down various targets around the world, from Miami to rain forests.

“We are very proud to announce HITMAN 2 as the next exciting chapter in our ever expanding world of assassination. Building on the success of our previous game, HITMAN 2 introduces exciting new features, new modes and franchise firsts to make for a larger and richer game,” said Hakan Abrak, CEO, IO Interactive. “We couldn’t have wished for a better partner than Warner Bros. to bring this game to our passionate community and introduce new players to our universe. Welcome back 47!”

Hitman 2 will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive on November 13 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In addition, for anyone who pre-orders, you’ll be given immediate access to the new standalone Sniper Assassin Mode, which has you taking out targets from afar cooperatively.
