Yesterday, Bandai Namco unveiled Jump Force, a new brawling fighter game that brings together some of Shōnen’s greatest heroes and villains. From what we saw at the E3 presentation, characters from DragonBall Z, One Piece and Naruto made an appearance to battle against the infamous Lord Frieza. The cinematic trailer gave us an idea of what to expect, but Bandai Namco did recently release a gameplay trailer to placate fans’ curiosity about how the game performs. Continuing from the cinematic trailer, the gameplay trailer follows Goku, Naruto, and Monkey D. Luffy in their fight against Frieza. Initially, the trailer displays combos and powerful attacks seen in these characters’ respective shows. We even see some transformations that lead to super attacks, like Goku’s Super Saiyan Spirit Bomb and Naruto’s Nine-Tails Chakra Mode. While this gameplay is still very much in development and appears a bit stiff in some parts, the clean graphics and realistic visuals in the game are something fans of these anime can look forward to. Jump Force is scheduled for release in 2019.
