E3 2018: Shadow of the Tomb Raider Footage Shows Lara Can Handle Her Own

With the upcoming Shadow of the Tomb Raider around the corner, Square Enix gave us the very beginning minutes of the game as a small taste. Brutal environments and new survival skills give way to what developers are calling “becoming one with the jungle”. New gameplay footage shows familiar predator Lara in the trees as she scopes out enemies below her.

It seems Lara has new abilities like grappling and abilities to explore underwater, and lethal takedowns as she becomes the apex predator she was meant to be. Stealth mode is back and allows for lethal finishers as Lara is able to sneak through the forests and blend into her environments. It seems this installment of Tomb Raider is fleshing Lara out even more as a ruthless and capable survivor. More tombs, more puzzles, and new survival challenges will pit Lara against man and nature as she continues her journey into becoming the Tomb Raider.
