The PC has become the go-to platform for gaming – but on-the-go PC gaming hasn’t been done on a large scale. While niche devices have been made like the Win GPD, they have been hurt by a lack of power. The SMACH Z uses an AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics card with a Ryzen V1000 processor. This means that it should run a wider range of games than the Win GPD line, and should feature a better control setup for a wider range of PC games thanks to its Steam controller-esque haptic control pads on the left and right-hand sides of the device. It has a six inch full HD display and can be upgraded to feature up to 25GB GB of storage and up to 16 GB of RAM. It features Bluetooth, has a displayport for external screens, and uses micro USB, USB-A, and can be expanded with a micro SD card slot. The device is set for release in September, and its official site states that it can run a wide variety of games – including GTA V and the 2016 DOOM reboot.
