Independent developer IMakeGames on Thursday announced a release date for the upcoming Rifter.
The 1980s synthwave-inspired platformer is set to arrive on Steam on July 12 for PC, macOS and Linux. It will be priced at $11.99 (€11.99), IMakeGames confirmed.
Described as the “love child” of Dustforce, Sonic the Hedgehog, Bionic Commando and Hotline Miami, Rifter’s fast-paced experience has over ninety stages, thirty character upgrades and different unlockable skills.
According to the Austrian-based developer, players will be able to unlock multiple endings in Rifter.
IMakeGames also announced that Rifter would include a Ghost Mode, which will allow players to see how others achieved their high scores in different levels.
It was revealed last month that Rifter, which has been in development since 2015, would launch in July.
