EA Sports UFC 3 Icon Edition Now Available on Digital Marketplaces

EA teased a big update to EA UFC 3 yesterday – and delivered the goods in a major way. Beyond Dana White being added to the in-game roster, five legendary fighters have been added to the lineup. This includes a variety of people not in UFC currently, including Bellator fighters Wanderlei Silva and Mirko Cro Cop, alongside Matt Serra, the late Kimbo Slice, and Tito Ortiz who just signed with Oscar De La Hoya’s MMA group. T-Mobile Arena is also being added as a venue, new control tweaks are available too and more alongside the seventh major patch for the game.

This update allowed for powerful diving punches and revamped takedowns to include a new ankle pick takedown. Push offs also allow you to move an opponent back without using stamina and open the door up for big kicks or heavy hook punches. Demetrious Johnson also made it as the cover athlete – which is a bit odd for a digital-only game, but it’s still something worth noting. Knockout mode has also been added to online play, and you can have mixed weight battles – so if you want a giant heavyweight to face Mighty Mouse, you can.

It is also available for free to anyone who already owns the game digitally.
