Conan Exiles Smashes Best-Selling Funcom Records

Released back in early May, Conan Exiles is Funcom’s most ambitious open-world survival simulation set in the Conan universe. It appears Funcom’s efforts have been rewarded as Exiles has now surpassed Funcom’s previous record-best of 1.4 million units sold of the 2008 Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. And with the success of the first DLC, The Imperial East, Funcom excitedly announced a second DLC for Conan Exiles: Jewel of the West. This new expansion introduces new Aquilonia-themed building pieces, weapons, armor, furniture and more.

In Conan lore, Aquilonia is the center of the civilized world and its clothing and architecture is inspired by that of real-world Romans. Conan Exiles Creative Director, Joel Bylos announced additional content for the game as well, “the team is also hard at work putting together one of the biggest free updates yet. It will introduce pets and taming them, allowing players to find and tame animals from camels to panthers to use them to guard their bases, carry resources and more.” The update will be free to all players on all platforms and launches later this quarter. Conan Exiles is currently available for purchase digitally or physically. The Jewel of the West DLC will launch early August for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
