This month may mark the third anniversary of Psyonix’s hit “soccar” title Rocket League, but the studio is looking back to their past to celebrate this latest milestone.
Ten years ago, Psyonix released Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, which offers a more chaotic and arcade-style alternative to Rocket League. To celebrate the past decade of Battle-Cars, Rocket League will be hosting an anniversary event starting on July 9 that features a 3v3 playlist with a new “Throwback Stadium,” that features altered goal positions and ball weight that harkens back to the 2008 cult classic. Players who participate in these matches before July 23 can acquire balloons that will help them unlock special anniversary items to adorn their Battle-Cars with.
Rocket League is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch.
