Pre-orders for The Banner Saga 3 are now being taken for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch ahead of its launch later this month, Versus Evil and Stoic today announced.
The tactical role-playing title will retail at $24.99 for Xbox One and Switch. However, Switch users that have previously purchased both The Banner Saga and The Banner Saga 2 will receive a forty per cent discount off The Banner Saga 3.
The Banner Saga 3 publisher Versus Evil confirmed that the physical version of The Banner Saga Trilogy could now be pre-ordered on Switch, too. The collection, which will also be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, is published by Gearbox Publishing and is slated for release on July 27.
The Banner Saga Trilogy comes with a soundtrack, miniature art book, a poster and an unlockable in-game item.
Stoic launched The Banner Saga 3’s Kickstarter campaign in 2017 and successfully — and overwhelmingly — secured the funding needed for its title. The Banner Saga 3 will be the concluding chapter to Stoic’s acclaimed series.
The Banner Saga 3 is scheduled for release on July 26 for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and macOS. There are also plans for the third installment to be released on mobile devices at some point in 2018.
“We’re excited to bring the Banner Saga series to its ultimate conclusion on both digital and physical platforms with the forthcoming launch of Banner Saga 3,” says John Watson, technical director at Stoic.
“The Banner Saga has been a labor of love for us all and it’s fitting that we can also bring the franchise together in one pack for console players.”
