Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Really Didn’t Sell Well on PC

A recent leak of Valve’s Steam data suggests that Wolfentstein II: The New Colossus has not done well at all on the PC. According to the leaked data, Wolfentstein II: The New Colossus has only recorded 549,457 players as of July 1, 2018. For reference, DOOM has recorded 3,197,626 players and Wolfenstein: The New Order has 1,819,928. Even Prey has it beat at 704,179 players.

This data only represents PC sales, but the numbers are somewhat surprising nonetheless. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a decent shooter in and of itself, but perhaps it just can’t get out from under the shadow of its predecessor in the minds of many gamers.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is currently available on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
