In a blog post from Sean Murray himself he addresses No Man’s Sky’s launch, what No Man’s Sky is at the moment with NEXT releasing tomorrow and where in the stars No Man’s Sky is headed.
Sean Murray is known for being media-shy, he has stated this himself many times even recently with two separate interviews with Waypoint and The Guardian. Today though, the day before No Man’s Sky NEXT releasing July 24 he opens up completely about what players can expect from No Man’s Sky moving forward. This isn’t an apology post Sean has done that instead, Hello Games is showing what they’ve been doing since No Man’s Sky launched — working on their game. Hello Games loves No Man’s Sky and is happy to report players do too:
We know that over 200 million hours of No Man’s Sky have been played to date. It makes us happy, but desperate to communicate better.
The focus though of the blog post is more for communication with players and what can be expected looking forward. No Man’s Sky will now have weekly content and community events, things to get the players involved even more in an already active game. It’s the right foot forward and Hello Games knows they need to walk with the players from here on out.
