Independent developer La Poule Noire has announced its first title, Edgar, ahead of its official debut at Gamescom next month.
Edgar is a narrative-driven sandbox puzzle adventure title that will be coming to PC.
The French studio says that the story focuses on a hermit called Edgar, who lives on a farm and was “raised with twisted beliefs made from false rumors.” After a crisis hits the small town of Balzac, Edgar is “forced to face his biggest fear” of interacting with people as eccentric as him.
Edgar will be playable at Gamescom, which is running from August 21 to August 25 this year.
“After so much hard work and passion has gone into bringing Edgar to life, we can’t wait to share him with the world at Gamescom,” La Poule Noire’s David Duriot exclusively told Hardcore Gamer.
“It’s a little nerve-wracking, but since so much of the game is about facing your fears and putting yourself out there, it feels right to debut the game on such a big stage!”
