The first multiplayer Beta for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is now live on PlayStation 4. The preview weekend will run from August 3 until August 6, with the second weekend live from August 10 through August 13. The first Beta weekend will be PlayStation exclusive, but the rest will run on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
The private Beta will give players access to six of the upcoming maps, “several” game modes including a brand new mode called Control, and ten Specialists. A select number of the weapons will be available and the Pick 10 system that the Black Ops series is known for will be reintroduced in the Beta.
To get into the Private Beta, you have to have pre-ordered the game already. Black Ops 4 is up for pre-order on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Battle.net. PC players will get their own open Beta on Saturday, August 11 that will run until Monday.
Participants will receive in-game items that they will get to keep when the game releases, including a Calling Card and a Permanent Unlock Token if you reach maximum rank. And be sure to keep the Beta downloaded to your system as you’ll be able to jump into the Blackout battle royale Beta when it launches in September.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 12.
