CI Games announced today the latest installment in its acclaimed sniper series: Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts. The title transports players to the harsh Siberian wilderness and introduces a new way to play- the contract system. The game will also feature both single player and multiplayer modes. This iteration of Sniper Ghost Warrior comes partly from community feedback wanting a more immersive gameplay experience. CI Games hopes to deliver a tense, mission-based experience that takes a step back from Sniper Ghost Warrior 3’s open world. The single player campaign offers tailor-made contract missions that create a clear main objective with monetary rewards. To keep the fun going, players can also choose to fulfill secondary objectives for a bonus payout. The missions don’t stop there, however, as players wanting to do better can redo contracts to earn even more money.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts focuses on the sniping gameplay the series is known for by offering dense, more focused maps that reward tactical thinking. Diverse options for how to complete each mission offer combinations of open-ended thinking and emergent gameplay to ensure these scenarios are replayable. Human engagements are not the only thing to keep in mind as intense environmental obstacles will keep players alert in the harsh, modern-day Siberian wilderness.
Chief Executive Officer, Marek Tymiński, promises this new Sniper Ghost Warrior offers more attention to detail than ever, “It is exciting to see the team really motivated. They don’t have to start from scratch this time and can now- on top of developing new content- spend way more time on improving things they already have.” It is the development team’s hope to spend more time listening to their community’s feedback with this new title. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts promises a more optimized game engine to minimize load times and maintain stable Frames Per Second. With a new location, immersive missions and diverse gameplay, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts hopes to elevate the sniping experience. The title will launch in 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
