Far Cry 5: Dead Living Zombies Gets a Release Date

The third and final DLC for Far Cry 5, titled “Dead Living Zombies,” will release on August 28 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, according to a new teaser for the expansion.

The short video gives us a bit of insight into the story of Dead Living Zombies, which will have players teaming up once again with Guy Marvel, the film director you may have met during your main playthrough of Far Cry 5. It seems you’ll be playing a part in some of his movie ideas, which include a Romeo and Juliet adaptation where Romeo is a compilation of a bunch of famous monsters.

The new maps for DLZ were made within the Arcade Editor, which seemingly gave the developers some new ideas. The upcoming update to Far Cry 5 will add everything needed for Dead Living Zombies, but will also include new tools for the Arcade mode, including destructible¬†objects and scripting tools. As you complete the various maps in Dead Living Zombies, you will eventually unlock Score Attack, which lets you bring items and equipment you’ve earned within the DLC into the main game.

Dead Living Zombies is available now for pre-order. It will run you $7.99 USD as a solo package or $29.99 as part of the season pass.
