The MyCAREER mode has consistently been one of the highlights of 2K’s basketball simulator each year, primarily thanks to a plethora of RPG elements including upgrades and customization to make the player’s journey feel more personal.
This year, Visual Concepts is looking to take MyCAREER to new heights in NBA 2K19, as shown off in the trailer below. Titled “The Way Back”, this year’s edition will see the self-created protagonist kick off his basketball career in China, before making his way to the G League and eventually becoming an NBA superstar. Just as in years past, this year’s MyCAREER will include several surprisingly high-profile performances, including Anthony Mackie, Haley Joel Osment, Michael Rapaport, Aldis Hodge, Rob Huebel and more.
NBA 2K19 will hit the courts on September 11 for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC, with a demo arriving on August 31 that includes the first chapter of “The Way Back.”
