The Trials series has been on vacation for the last four years but that’s just about over with today’s announcement of Trials Rising’s release date. The sixth game in the series is a world tour from backyard courses to a massive stadium as your rider grows throughout their career. Over one hundred new courses will be available in environments as diverse as Yellowstone Park, Paris, Mount Everest, and whatever other iconic scenery looks good to crash a stunt bike in front of. While just about everyone will need to wait for the launch date of February 12, if you’re lucky there’s a closed beta signup going on right now that may give you an early look. Also new in today’s announcement is the pre-order period going live immediately, with the regular edition kicking in at $24.99 while the Gold version (two expansions and other unspecified goodies) is $39.99.
The closed beta runs from September 13 through 16, which is somehow less than a month off, so head on over to the signup page and toss your name on the pile. Or take a peek at the Gamescom announcement trailer below first.
