Call of Duty: WWII’s Season of Content Closes with Shadow War

The final DLC map pack for Call of Duty: WWII comes to PS4 at the end of August.

Call of Duty: WWII’s season of content comes to an end with Map Pack 4, Shadow War. As with previous WWII map packs, Shadow War comes with three multiplayer maps, a new War Mode mission, and the latest chapter in the Nazi Zombies storyline. As per the timed exclusivity deal between Activision and Sony, the DLC launches first on PS4.

Here’s a breakdown of the new maps:

  • Airship – Set in an enemy based in the Alps, players fight for control of a docked zeppelin.
  • Chancellery – Nazi forces have captured a French Chancellery with Allied forces launching a surprise assault in the dead of night.
  • Excavation – The enemy has stockpiled priceless art and gold in an Algerian mine. Take the battle deep into the caverns to recapture these precious items.
  • Operation Arcane – The new War Mode mission, Allied Forces take the fight to an enemy research facility in Austria. Infiltrate the lab, steal Nazi secrets, and destroy classified technology.

Finally, the Nazi Zombies story ends with the final chapter in the saga, Frozen Dawn. Our heroes have the Sword of Barabossa, but it has failed to stop the undead threat. An ancient evil rests in the depth of Thule, and they’ll have to defeat it to put down the undead threat once and for all.

Call of Duty: WWII – Shadow War is out August 28 on PS4. It’ll launch on Xbox One and PC next month.
