Bungie today revealed their roadmap for Destiny 2 following the launch of Forsaken.
Destiny 2: Forsaken launches in a week, bringing with it a ton of new content and updates to the Destiny 2 experience. The 2.0 update, which ushers in a number of changes, is live. Now, it is time to look towards the future of Destiny 2.
The arrival of Destiny 2: Forsaken ushers in the Season of the Outlaw. Throughout the season, players can expect to see new activities and rewards regularly added to the game. Additional three-month long seasons will continue to roll out during the next year with new experiences, events, rewards, and activities for free.
Bungie also touched base on the controversial Annual Pass. After the disappointing Curse of Osiris and Warmind DLC packs, Bungie says they went back to the drawing board to offer something different. Each offering (Black Armory, Joker’s Wild, and Penumbra) offer different experiences. Expect new endgame activities and challenges from each. Only time can tell if this paid content is any better than what we got during year one.
Destiny 2: Forsaken is out September 4 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Be sure to check out the full roadmap.
