Wow, has it been a while since we’ve talked about Timespinner. It hit Kickstarter way back in 2014, and ended up being a quick success there. But after an appearance at the Indie Megabooth at PAX Prime 2015, things went a bit silent for the longest time. But now, all of a sudden, we have a release date for the game! And even a surprise publisher as well in the form of Chucklefish, still solidifying themselves as a master of assisting 2D pixel art titles. So now we only have less than two weeks to go before the game comes out at September’s end.
A classic metroidvania game, Timespinner tells a story of revenge. Our heroine Lunais finds her family murdered by the evil Lachiem Empire. To make matters worse, the ancient Timespinner device is destroyed, and Lunais now finds themselves stranded in an unknown world. As seen in the clip below, players get to control time in order to help Lunais swiftly move around and deal with obstacles, such as massive, detailed bosses. Timespinner comes to PC, PS4, and Vita on September 25, and certainly looks to be worth the wait.
