Ubisoft today announced their plans for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s post-launch content.
Like previous entries in the franchise, Odyssey features significant post-launch support. That support includes paid story content, a remastered game, and free content in the form of The Lost Tales of Greece episodes. There will also be an abundance of quality of life improvements like New Game Plus and the return of Discovery Tour.
Story content kicks off December 2019 with Legacy of the First Blade where players meet the first person to use a Hidden Blade. In Spring 2019, players can dive into the second story DLC with The Fate of Atlantis. Unlike previous story DLC, Odyssey’s are told in an episodic format. Each DLC features three chapters with a new chapter launching every six weeks.
Those who pick up the Season Pass can jump back into the classic Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed III. Remastered for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the updated version includes all post-launch content and Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered. Assassin’s Creed III Remastered features 4K and HDR support on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Owners of the enhanced consoles can also expect higher-resolution textures, improved light rendering, and other graphical improvements. No word yet on if players can purchase Assassin’s Creed III outside the Season Pass.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out October 5 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
