Destiny 2: Forsaken’s premier multiplayer mode, Gambit, will be freely available for all guardians to try this coming weekend. This time, the trial period will last from 10 AM (PDT) Friday, September 21 to the same time on Sunday, September 23. During this time, the whole of Gambit will be open for all Destiny 2 players whether they own the excellent Forsaken expansion or not. It’s worth a try too, because this game mode really is a blast!
Gambit pits two teams of guardians in a race to see who can summon and defeat a boss-level enemy first. Along the way, both team will have opportunities to interfere with one another via sending powerful blocking enemies or directly invading and causing as much mayhem for their opponents as possible. It’s troll or be trolled in Gambit, and that’s what makes it such a rush! The mode has been suffering from a Sleeper Simulant problem lately, but Bungie is already taking steps to deal with it. Hopefully, it’ll be resolved before the next free access weekend.
Destiny 2: Forsaken is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
