Life Is Strange 2 Launch Trailer Drops One Week Ahead of Official Release

Dontnod Entertainment today released the official launch trailer for the highly anticipated Life Is Strange 2.

The trailer, which is posted below, focuses on brothers Sean and Daniel Diaz, who have been forced to leave their home in suburban Seattle after a certain incident involving the police.

The brothers have set their sights on returning to the family’s hometown of Puerto Lobos, Mexico, with their resilience tested by what they face on the road and the “manifestation of a supernatural power they don’t understand and can’t fully control.”

The Life Is Strange developer first revealed plans for a sequel to its critically acclaimed episodic title in 2017, with the first trailer and information relating to the story announced at last month’s Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

Similar to its predecessor, the studio has divided the story into five individual episodes.

Hardcore Gamer had the opportunity for a hands-on session with the title at PAX West earlier this month, saying that there is a “wonderful story being built up” and that “Players can take their time and examine every little thing at their own pace, or hurry through to see everything as quickly as possible.”

Life Is Strange 2 Episode 1: Roads will launch worldwide on September 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

“Life Is Strange 2 is only a short week away and we can’t wait to see what players think when they finally get their hands on it,” Dontnod said.

“We have been working on Life Is Strange 2 since the launch of the last episode of the first season, and we are so excited to tell our new story of Sean and Daniel Diaz, two brothers from suburban Seattle.”
