When the fighting has stopped, and the fallout has settled, you must rebuild. The highly anticipated next installment in the Fallout franchise places the weight of the world on players like never before. A new trailer released today showcases Fallout 76’s in-game engine with a peek at the game’s intro sequence.
A lot of what we’re hearing in the voice-over is not necessarily new, but the trailer does give us a look into Vault 76 and its history. We’ve known for awhile that this vault is meant for the “best” and the “brightest” by tasking dwellers with the responsibility of rebuilding America. We’re able to see dwellers are introduced early to necessary survival gear, like the easy camping set up and tutorials for how to navigate the world with a PipBoy. Unlike other vaults in the series, 76 is upfront about its purpose in this new world. Making connections to historical events in American history, this vault proves to be symbolic as well. Eager fans will be able to know more once the pre-order B.E.T.A. launches in October. Xbox One users will receive early access on October 23, with other platforms to follow on October 30. Fallout 76 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on November 14.
