XCOM 2 DLC Touches Down Next Week

It was announced today that XCOM 2: War of the Chosen-Tactical Legacy Pack will be available next week for PC users. This new DLC tells the story of what happened between the events of XCOM: Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2. It includes new game modes, new maps, weapons, armor and Photobooth options.

New gameplay modes include Central’s Archives, where players can follow Central Officer Bradford and other key members of XCOM as they recount the pivotal operations that led to the rise of the resistance between XCOM and XCOM 2. A skirmish mode will allow players to create and play custom tactical missions using the included editor for map settings, loadouts objectives, enemies and more.

The DLC will include 28 new maps along with remastered maps and scenes from XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Enemy Within. New weapons and armor will help players complete these new missions, with reimagined versions of weapons found in XCOM. Players can complete the Central’s Archives to unlock these items for use in the main single player campaign. Players who want a more challenging experience will be able to play through all 100+ War of the Chosen challenges as often as they wish.

New customization options will be included as well. Players can add new attitudes, helmets and more to their team. Show these off with the Photobooth options that allow for new backgrounds and character poses. Along with these visual improvements, new soundtrack options will also be included. The new Soundtrack Selector allows players to choose any of the existing XCOM scores to be the background music for their gaming. XCOM 2: War of the Chose-Tactical Legacy Pack will be available on October 9. As a gift to the fans, this pack will be available for free to all PC owners of XCOM 2: War of the Chosen until 12:59pm ET on December 3.
